Danced at a local hall last night and joined a new dance club. Met some new people and saw some familiar faces. Finally go a West Coast swing lesson. If you are a new dancer, DO NOT let any guy use you to show off with. You can get hurt badly, believe it or not. Be careful of dips and turns particularly.
What is with the guys not having pictures on their site? C'mon, fellas you know you wouldn't give us a second thought without a photo, and PLEASE if you are going to wink or email someone, have the good sense to use spellcheck and attempt at least to use good grammar. You're credibility is severely compromised if you do not appear in writing to be "smarter than a fifth grader". We're adults here, let's look and act it! I have had requests for intimate details of my past: how many kids, marriages, etc. from guys that have hidden profiles--that's crazy. Looking forward to a river cruise down the Cumberland and dancing this weekend with a local singles group. God Bless and have a great day!

Just got back fro a 2 week sprint to MI and IL. Danced in both states. Yankees do a lot more drinking while they dance and are WAY more friendly--not necessarily related to just the drinking. Met some very nice folks in Kalamazoo and Chicago. Plan to revisit both places in the future. Looking forward to dancing this weekend on the General Jackson Sat. night.

Not much happening this weekend, dancewise.

Looking for a spot to drop in on before Monday again at Silverado.
David is teaching the waltz. There ws a large crowd for a Holiday. After the lesson, which was great ,as usual, they played some swing, sweetheart shaddish, fox trot, waltz and more.

Just got a call about Friday at the Frist. Blues tonight starting at 6:30. Sounds good to me.

Music City Bop Club had their Summer Boogie Bash at the Maxwell. It was unbelievable. Danced for 6 hours yesterday. The 4 day event was filled with folks our age having the time of their lives. There were a couple of "red hot grannies" that could really shake their "tailfeathers." The lessons and exhibitions (dance routines by pros) were fantastic. I can't wait for the next weekend event. There is music in Centennial Park to morrow (Memorial Day) and there
will be a lesson at Silverado (hosted by local Swing club)at 7 pm.
Huge right noew is the Cupid Shuffle. Trying to learn the "Swamp Thang" --a pretty snazzy line dance.
